Cosy + Snug was created in response to something many of us feel but don’t always talk about: loneliness. In a world of noise, busy schedules and high-energy social scenes, it can be hard to find third spaces that feel calm, welcoming and genuinely human, so we've curated an alternative creative space to fulfil those needs.
WHAT WE ARE
Cosy + Snug is a creative social club for introverted-extroverts, fostering community, kindness and creativity. Our aim is to help combat loneliness in the UK by bringing people together through low-pressure creative events and thoughtful socials.
THE FOUNDER
I’m Yasmin, the founder of Cosy + Snug. The idea first began in 2020, when I ran a small candle shop on Etsy during lockdown. I loved sharing my craft with people but, over time I felt I wanted more than just selling products. I wanted a career where I could speak to people, bring them together and genuinely make a difference in their lives.
After a few years of managing events in the corporate world, I revisited the idea when I noticed how much my friends enjoyed the social gatherings I organised. People who arrived as strangers would leave as friends and I loved watching those connections form so naturally. Making friends as an adult can be hard but, many of us just need the right environment to feel comfortable opening up.
After a year of planning, Cosy + Snug was born. A creative social club designed to remove some of those barriers, making it easier for people to meet, connect and feel less alone through shared creative experiences.
WHAT WE DO
Our core monthly event is Candles + Cocktails, a candle-making workshop with a twist. You will create your own refillable candle jar using eco-friendly Jesmonite. You’ll get to choose your colours and learn different marbling techniques to give your jar a unique and polished finish. Once your jar is sealed and cured, you’ll learn how to make a scented soy candle with premium oils and crackling wood wicks. It is a full creative experience from start to finish.
The best part is, you take everything home that same night! No waiting 2 weeks to collect your masterpiece like you would do in pottery. Order candle refills directly from our site to keep your candle going for longer.
We also host a rotating mix of cosy community activities and socials for you to keep up with the friends you make. All events are adults only but, please check the specific event booking page for any age requirements as it can very depending on location.
